THE REASON TO ACT
For online consumer contracts covered by the right of withdrawal, EU rules require an accessible withdrawal function. EUWithdraw helps you put that customer journey into your Shopify store.
The function must be clearly labelled, prominent and accessible throughout the withdrawal period.
Add a storefront entry point with the theme editor: a page, section button or floating button.
Customers provide their name, contract details and electronic contact details, then explicitly confirm withdrawal.
A two-step form guides the submission. Your team reviews the recorded request inside Shopify.
An acknowledgement must follow without undue delay on a durable medium, including the statement and submission date and time.
Confirmed submissions queue a receipt email. Configure and test email delivery during setup.
Scope and exceptions depend on the contract and applicable national law. Correct placement, configuration and merchant policies remain your responsibility. EUWithdraw supports the workflow; installation alone does not guarantee compliance.
